Mersen USA St Marys, a world leader in the manufacture of isostatic graphite, has the following current job opening: Human Resources Manager - As part of the Management team, responsible to manage all aspects of human resources for the St. Marys site including recruitment and selection, site compensation, site benefits administration, employee relations, health & wellness, training, site specific employment related policies & procedures, performance management administration, payroll and employment law. Also responsible for labor relations in a union environment. Responsibilities include: Manage recruitment and selection of all required positions, including scheduling interviews, reference checks and offer packages Process salary payroll and validate hourly payroll is prepared, transmitted and processed in a timely manner Administer the HRIS application and provide guidance to managers and employees on effective utilization of the system processes, such as performance reviews, bonus plans and mid-term reviews. Ensure site compliance with federal, state and local legislation with respect to HR. Implement a Human Resources Contingency Management policy, including succession planning and career development Partner with corporate compensation and benefits teams to administer same Advise and assist managers and supervisors to ensure positive employee relations. Facilitate labor contract negotiation, grievances and on-going communication between plant leadership and the bargaining unit. Implement policies, procedures and HR programs, including orientation, on-boarding, and health & wellness. Facilitate internal training. Research, schedule and coordinate external training. Engage in site continuous improvement efforts, especially with respect to streamlining HR programs Assist in the development of internal & external communications Organize employee integration events and coordinate employee recognition programs The successful candidate will have, at a minimum a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or a related field and five (5) or more years' experience in HR management in a multi-shift unionized manufacturing environment. Experience with an integrated payroll/HRIS system (ADP preferred), and a strong knowledge of current employment legislation required. The ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines, strong interpersonal & communication skills and a Servant Leadership mindset will be a plus. PHR or SPHR preferred.
