This is a regular full-time to position to perform advanced clerical duties in the Family and Youth department. Duties may include planning and coordinating meetings, preparing meeting minutes, ordering supplies, providing backup coverage for receptionist at the front desk and on the phone as needed, relieving supervisor of administrative tasks such as gathering and analyzing information, and preparing reports, all with minimal direction.
The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, effective problem solving skills, flexibility, and an ability to learn procedures and computer applications quickly. He/she must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers and the public in a courteous, professional manner and exhibit excellent communication skills. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required, in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Applicants will be required to pass skills tests including typing and document production. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
The position requires one year clerical or secretarial work experience at a level equivalent to an Office Specialist II. Course work and training related to the position may substitute for up to six months of experience. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensure the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Must pass a criminal history background check.
Salary: $2487 - $2899/month anticipated at hire, DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings, paid leaves, paid holidays, PERS and deferred compensation options.
