Salary: $3108-$3596/mo DOE with excellent benefits
This is a regular full-time position for a Human Services Associate to work with individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring mental health and addictions challenges who reside in our crisis respite or supported housing programs and/or participate on the community-integrated work crews for treatment and rehabilitation purposes. Responsibilities include providing supportive counseling, individual and group skills training, rehabilitative janitorial work group supervision/skills training, some case management and coordination with treatment team providers, medication monitoring and training, charting, and documentation. Work shifts will include days, swing, and weekends.

Retirement - PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) contribution is 100% employer funded, which includes both contribution to PERS pension and IAP accounts (IAP contribution is 6% of salary).
Short-Term Disability – 100% County paid
Life insurance - $6,000 for employee/$2,000 for spouse and children – 100% County Paid.
Vacation/Sick Leave - Flexible Earned Time (FET) is a combination of vacation and sick leave. To start, you will earn 12.38 hours per month and future accruals increase based on years of service. After a year of service and depending on FET balance, employees may sell-back up to 40 hours of FET per year.
Qualifications
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a human services related field in addition to a combination of one year of work/relevant experience and two years’ post high school education, or a high school diploma and three years’ work/relevant experience in human services. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.
Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in organization, paperwork management, and communication – both verbally and in writing, in addition to typing and computer proficiency. The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner. Knowledge of psychiatric medications and experience working with MAR’s (Medication Administration Records) is preferred but training may be available. Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment and must meet QMHA/QADAC requirements per State Medicaid rule. Also, in order to qualify for most HHS positions, applicants: * Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs (Medicaid, Medicare, and other federally-funded programs that provide health benefits); and * Must not be excluded from participation in federal procurement (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and non-procurement activities (Executive Order No. 12549).
