Professional Staff Office Assistant

Responsible for Professional Staff Office functioning. Provides administrative and clerical support to the Professional Staff Services Department. Provides guidance regarding basic credentialing and enrollment issues requiring minimal discretion and judgment. Provides education on routine credentialing and enrollment topics and routes more complex issues for appropriate resolution. Provides administrative support for credentialing services and the Professional Staff and Credentialing Services Manager on a limited basis
Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Associate of Arts/Sciences degree in business administration or similar field highly preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years administrative experience or a combination of administrative and other relevant professional experience in a direct customer service capacity.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Skills include data-entry and filing, with working knowledge of software including word processing, spreadsheet functions, data bases, and electronic mail. Ability to demonstrate math aptitude, along with effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal problem solving skills. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential material. Excellent organizational, time management and priority-setting skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with attention to detail and the ability to audit one's own work. Ability to frequently use independent judgment to answer questions and/or perform duties. Knowledge of basic credentialing and enrollment functions, applications, and legal environment and/or exposure to credentialing and enrollment helpful.
