Administers corporate credit policy, manages patient accounts receivable, assists with processing for special programs, and fills in as back up support to other departments as needed or requested by supervisor. Assists patients/clients with the medical enrollment application process and serves as a liaison between the patient/client and the state Medicaid office.Qualifications: Education: Associate Degree/Certificate (appropriate to the position) from an accredited technical school or High School Diploma or GED with equivalent experience. Experience: 1-2 years-billing credit experience in a medical setting preferred. Experience in special programs such as State managed care plans preferred. Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Must be able to pass state and federal/or other required certification exam within 30 days of hire. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Knowledge of medical terminology or wiliness to learn; Bilingual English/Spanish and must demonstrate ability to communicate at level 9 on the ALTA language proficiency scale; have the ability to work under stressful conditions; exercise independent judgment and discretion; have a pleasant, courteous telephone manner; ability to handle irritated patients; ability to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously; ability to work with frequent interruptions; knowledge of 10-key; experience working in a variety of computer programs; and knowledge of medical billing insurance helpful.About YVFWCWe serve more than 166,000 patients across 24 medical clinics, 13 dental clinics, 8 pharmacies, and 57 program sites in two states.
