Executive Director - K-12 Outreach Programs
The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership for all Outreach K-12 outreach and other student success programs for the Tri-Cities campus. This includes providing direction, guidance, leadership and oversight of the US Department of Education (USDE) federal grant funding including WSU GEAR UP, 21st Century, Upward Bound programs, TRiO Student Support Services, and other K-12 outreach programs, but not limited to summer camps, and other programs including school visits to campus. Responsible for developing a strategic plan for K-12 initiatives in collaboration and consultation with the campus' executive leadership, community partners, and WSU system leadership. The Executive Director is responsible developing a vision and leading the campus' grant development activities related to student success, access, and affordability. This involves but is not limited to identifying new grant opportunities, writing proposals and managing awarded grants, coordinating campus' grant applications, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. The Executive Director leads the administration of fiscal and budgetary management, operations for outreach programs; leadership of Program Directors and staff, accountable for risk management; communicating University and program policy and regulations; and representing the University and outreach programs to internal and external constituents. This position is responsible for prioritizing and manage issues within the grants.
