Responsible for the maintenance and care of campus recreation facilities including the Student Recreation Center, along with grass and artificial turf play field facilities. Supervises a variety of journey trades workers or general maintenance mechanics performing work on recreation buildings, grounds, and equipment. Develop, implement, and monitor training of maintenance mechanics and grounds staffs. Implements and evaluates work flow priorities. Develops and disseminates instructions and information to unit personnel. Organizes, conducts and facilitates staff meetings. Operate motor vehicles as required.
Salary is $5630/month.
Three years full-time experience as a journey trades worker, or equivalent, including one year, full-time experience as a lead or supervisor.
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.
Demonstrated basic computer knowledge; including the ability to use email, spreadsheets and word documents.
Experience working in a collegiate environment.
Knowledge of pumps, motors and electrical installation.
Experience in higher education athletic or recreation setting.
