Director, WSU LSAMP
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) at Washington State University is seeking a Director to lead this NSF-funded program that supports the academic achievements of underrepresented minority students in STEM majors.
Summary of Duties: Work closely with the Assistant Vice Provost, key faculty, and other stakeholders to carry out the goals and objectives of the program. Identify, recruit, and engage LSAMP-eligible students. Support the development of undergraduate students through programming, workshops, events, and individual meetings. Ensure staffing coverage and resource availability in the LSAMP Center and maintain it as an organized, clean, and welcoming environment for the students. Provide community college outreach, advise students, develop and participate in student workshops, plan and implement events, function as a liaison with university faculty, supervisors, and internal and external constituents, and monitor the effectiveness of programs. Serve as the point of contact with the University of Washington LSAMP director and maintain the data and records essential for the LSAMP grant.
