Maintenance Mechanic 2, Auxiliary Facilities
The Maintenance Mechanic 2 works under the supervision of the Maintenance Specialist 4 for Student Affairs - Auxiliaries Facilities and performs routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to facilities, equipment, and systems in University Recreation facilities. Shift hours Monday - Friday 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Occasional driving may be required.
Required Qualifications
High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal business hours.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Pool mechanical experience or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) / Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
