Facilities Manager Position #129015Washington State University
This position will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the campus facilities at WSU Prosser IAREC, incorporating environmentally sound and sustainable principles in all aspects of the Facilities Manager’s responsibilities. This individual will be responsible for providing leadership and directing facilities operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades while maintaining fiscal accountability for proper allocation and use of resources in supporting the overall research and extension mission of WSU Prosser IAREC. The Facilities Manager will serve as Team Leader for the facilities and maintenance staff with responsibility for maintenance, vehicle fleet, security and operations of campus buildings. This includes numerous offices, buildings, greenhouses, and a number of laboratories; equipment maintenance operations; custodial services; grounds maintenance; supervision of staff; health and safety program leadership; equipment acquisition and disposal; associated budget-related responsibilities; and other program support and development.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in related field and three (3) years of experience in managing an agricultural/industrial facility which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Positions require a valid driver’s license. May be required to obtain and maintain position specific licenses/registrations.
Additional Requirements: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite / Office365; proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience operating, managing, and/or repairing complex HVAC building systems. Experience developing and managing budgets.
