Administrative Assistant 3 (Administrative Assistant)
Washington State Department of Ecology's Nuclear Waste Program (NWP) in Richland, Wash., is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant position in the Technology and Operations Section (TechOps). This position serves as the principal confidential administrative assistant to the NWP TechOps Section Manager and approximately nine professional and technical staff. Performs delegated higher-level administrative duties, including human resources and personnel administration (recruitment, arranging interviews, appointments, and promotions); calendar management, travel arrangements and logistical details, including out-of-state travel. Serve as the Lead to the section secretaries and receptionist, which make up the members of the NWP Administrative Support Team. Take the lead on assuring all program administrative staff are following and in compliance with Ecology standards and the Governor's Executive Correspondence standards. Report any concerns or performance issues to appropriate Section Manager of that employee.
Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities: High school graduate or equivalent and three years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work. Formal education will substitute year-for-year for experience Must be dependable and demonstrate maturity and willingness to accept responsibility.
Salary: $2,778 - $3,700 per month (Range 39) M-F 8am to 5pm (Permanent)
