Reporting to the HVAC/R Construction and Maintenance Project Supervisor, this position supervises an inmate work crew performing maintenance, repair and installation of HVAC/R equipment/systems and environmental control systems. This position helps ensure safe and comfortable living and working conditions for staff, inmates, and visitors by maintaining comfortable environmental conditions. This position supports the DOC mission of improving public safety by teaching the offender work ethic that will help them for re-entry into society.This position performs skilled electrical and mechanical work involving the maintenance and repair of HVAC/R systems including associated equipment and controls.?Maintenance and repair of select food service equipment, refrigeration equipment, ice machines, and hydraulic systems equipment and controlsResponsible for developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance programs on the equipment and systems.Be familiar and proficient with the software package used to monitor and control facility HVAC/R systems.Be familiar and proficient with Micro Main web-based software package used to assign and track time and expenditures on work performed.Maintain accurate tool control documentation, offender timekeeping documentation, offender safety documentation, and offender work files.Initiate Purchase Requisitions (PR's), and keep records of PR's of materials, supplies, and equipment needed to perform work assignments.Posses the ability to estimate, plan, and coordinate resources needed to perform work assignments.This position is expected to supervise an inmate crew of at least three individuals. This includes interviewing and training inmates on the safe and proper use of any equipment or tools used to perform work assignments, accurate recording of inmate working hours, documenting inmate safety training, evaluating work performance, and documenting any corrective actions. This position is expected to enforce all DOC policy directives and CRCC operational memorandums pertaining to tasks being performed.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent, andTwo years of experience as a journey-level worker in one of the mechanical trades, andPossession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license., andPosses a valid EL06A L&I Electrical License, andPossession of, or have the ability to acquire within one (1) year, the following licenses and certifications: Universal EPA 608 Refrigerant card
