The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Director of Talent Acquisition and Compliance for the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Department maintains responsibility for the development and execution of all policies, programs, and strategies designed to recruit, assist, motivate, develop, promote, compensate, reward, and retain the best-qualified employees while supporting continued University growth with a focus on cultivating a diverse workforce. In addition, Human Resources identifies and provides students with meaningful, and developmental, on-campus employment opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Job Duties: The Director of Talent Acquisition & Compliance is the primary point of contact for EHRA/SHRA permanent/temporary staff, and student employee recruitment and selection. In addition, this position serves as the primary point of contact for the management of EHRA/SHRA, temporary staff, and student employment compliance programs. Reviews hiring documentation to assure compliance, along with management of I 9/E-Verify compliance requirements for all University employees. Reviews criminal background reports for employment eligibility. Conduct regular audits of employment records/reports to ensure accuracy and data integrity. Consults with, and trains, University hiring managers on the hiring process and compliance requirements.

The position is responsible for managing the recruitment function for all staff positions, This includes job postings, hiring actions, the background check process, new hire paperwork and I9s, and all other compliance-related to employment. The position provides strategic direction for the Talent Acquisition Team and is responsible for updating policies and procedures to remain in compliance with federal and state law.
