The Tri-Cities Cancer Center is seeking a full time person to perform insurance authorization and eligibility, and work with patients on charity care eligibility. The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in the insurance authorization eligibility area, preferably in a specialty clinic setting. To be successful in the position will require the ability to research insurance company policies, read and understand medical terminology, basic anatomy, physician consultation reports, clinical treatment plans, etc, and understand CPT codes and their descriptions and diagnosis coding. Must be able to journal notations effectively for internal communication. Must interact with physicians, patients, staff and insurance company personnel with a high degree of customer service. The ability to learn, change and grow, and be efficient is a must in our busy clinic.
