Advocate
The Support, Advocacy & Resource Center (SARC) is seeking two individuals who are passionate about serving survivors of crime. SARC is dedicated to assisting survivors in their healing process, in addition to preventing crime before it occurs. The Advocates will provide medical and legal advocacy, crisis intervention and support. While this work can be difficult, it is an honor to be that person who can truly make a difference in another's life. The successful candidates must be determined, compassionate, and eager to work with others in a team environment. Excellent communication skills are needed. A BA in sociology, or a related field, is required. Experience working with people who have been affected by crime is helpful. Bi-lingual skills are preferred.
