Academic Program Specialist – Social Work

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Academic Program Specialist in the Social Work Department.

Primary Job Duties: Under general supervision, independently coordinates the operational tasks involved in the day-to-day administration for the recruitment, selection, admission, registration, orientation, and progression of MSW students.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in administrative work. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to demonstrate initiative and analytical and problem-solving skills. General knowledge of and skill in the use of word processing, database, and spreadsheet software to produce documents and maintain information. Ability to present statistical material in table, chart, or graph form. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact and discretion. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to train, supervise, and evaluate graduate assistants. 

The position is a full-time, non-exempt State position with full benefits. Starting salary will be $18.81 per hour which is approximately $39,232.00 annually. After the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, there is a 2.5% pay increase for new hires or internal promotions.
