The Quincy Housing Authority has an employment opportunity for an Occupancy Specialist. The Occupancy Specialist works with public housing residents and Quincy Housing Authority Property Managers to process recertification’s of public housing residents and helps resolve problems that arise in connection with public housing occupancy. S/he is responsible for performing recertification’s of public housing eligibility and maintaining complete and accurate records of resident and monthly rent information on paper and in the Quincy Housing Authority computer system. Monitors public housing residents' compliance with program requirements, including but not limited to Rent Escrow, Family Self Sufficiency, Community Work Program and welfare to work. Administers resident pet policy, and maintains records related to resident pets. Responsible for the timely scheduling and delivery of all documents related to tenant Grievance Process. Receives resident grievance requests, and schedules conferences and grievance hearings. Attends and keeps official record of all conferences and grievance hearings. Salary is $47,985.80 with a $1,500.00 increase after one year. Two years of college education in human services related subjects or three years experience in related position required. Prior experience working with tenants, particularly low-income tenants, preferred.
