Detailed Description:
As a Therapist, you will:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychosocial services for patients of PrairieCare
- Seek to enhance the functioning of patients
- Provide group, family, and individual therapy to assigned patients
- Facilitate weekly team meetings
- Provide clinical education to staff
- Collect progress measures and coordinate care with treatment teams
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling with the After School Programs Supervisor to ensure adequate program support
- Complete intake meetings
- Assist in the development of treatment plans and complete discharge planning/meetings
- Coordinate care with outpatient providers upon admissions and discharge
- Communicate with families to keep them involved with treatment decisions
- Contribute to the interdisciplinary team a unique training perspective in family systems and social work theory
- Potentially supervise master's level family therapy, counseling, or social work interns (based on qualifications)
- Provide coverage for other therapists as need arises
Requirements:
- Master's degree
- Current license in the state of Minnesota as an Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed professional clinical counselors (LPCC)
- Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance
- Oriented and educated in gender, culture, and age appropriate care
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
- Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in written and verbal form
- Experience in intensive psychiatric and addiction healthcare setting preferred
