Bookkeeper
Our client, Pet Emergency Clinic, located in Spokane, WA, has a career opportunity for a highly motivated individual as their Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the following duties: payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly expense reports, quarterly reports, 1099's, and W-2's along with other duties as assigned. Qualifications include at least 4 years of previous bookkeeping or accounting experience and is able to provide strong references to support this experience. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of accounting principles and practices along with ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and technical skills are essential to this position. Working knowledge of QuickBooks a preferred. Bookkeeper Job Duties:
Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
