Landscape Operations Manager
Parsons Landscape & Design Inc. has pos. for Landscape Operations Manager. Will oversee landscape project plans, landscape maintenance, and the workers who implement the plans and maintain the landscapes. Job responsibilities include meeting with clients (or management) to develop or refine landscape projects, which may include ornamental plants, ground cover, and landscaping structures (e.g., walkways, water, and lighting); estimating costs; negotiating prices for plants, equipment, and labor; scheduling work crews; planning daily work activities; working with other trades such as electricians and paving companies; identifying best schedules and routes to maximize work day; monitoring the work being done by workers; and training workers, especially on safety procedures when large equipment or hazardous materials are involved.
Requires: Two years' experience as a Landscape Operations Manager or as owner of a landscape business in Florida; two years' experience with both residential and commercial landscaping and lawn maintenance; two years' experience with trees, ornamentals, and grasses suitable for the mid-Florida climate; two years' experience operating Bobcat tractors, dump trucks, and pull trailers; and two years' experience with the installation, service, and maintenance of irrigation systems. Required experience may have been acquired concurrently. 40 hour work week.
