Patient Care:
- Uses skills to facilitate triage, treatment, and transport of critically ill and injured Patients. To Include Newborn, Pediatric, Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Patient Transport:
- Provides safe appropriate level of care transport of patients (emergency and routine.
- Must be able to recognize and respond to changing needs of patients.
- Must be able to independently problem solve, troubleshoot equipment, and maintenance problems.
- Must be able to prioritize and delegate appropriate dispatch of units during times of peak acuity.
- Maintains appropriate radio/verbal communication with multi-disciplinary team members to provide holistic care to patients.
- Maintain competency by staying informed of changing trends in Emergency Medical Services.
- Prioritizes and evaluates work assignments.
- Anticipates resources needed.
- Assimilates data and reports appropriately.
- Complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. Paperwork
- Writes reports that comply with patient illness. Keeps paperwork and computer work up to date and filed in the correct place.
- High School diploma or equivalent; required.
- Must maintain unit specific annual educational requirements.
- Must have effective communication and teaching skills.
- Must maintain valid State driver's license/State EMS driver's license.
- General knowledge of various regulatory and accrediting standards.
- Must maintain knowledge and resources necessary to provide age appropriate care. To include Newborn, Pediatric, Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Patients.
- Must administer patient care according to protocols and guidelines set forth by Medical Director.Reports unresolved errors/complaints/conflicts to Director.
