ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Student Life develops, directs, and assesses all co-curricular programs and services which support the mission and educational outcomes of the College. Reporting to the Dean of Students, this position is responsible for supervising all staff, facilities and finances related to student development, student government, student organizations and leadership, student programming, recreation and wellness programming. Create a wide variety of social, cultural, and recreational activities to support the success of the college’s diverse student population.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
The following qualifications are required to move forward your candidacy; as such, ensure your application contains descriptions of your work experience sufficient to demonstrate proficiency in each of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years of work experience within student life, residential life, student affairs, or new student orientation
- Two (2) years of experience supervising professional or student staff
- Experience planning events and educational programs for a diverse student body
- Experience with budget development and management
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Leadership in Student Affairs, College Personnel Administration, Higher Education, or related field
- Experience working with underrepresented populations providing culturally responsive support to students of color, first-generation students, and Pell eligible students.
- Knowledge and experience in applying student development theory in working with student populations
- Demonstrated ability to effectively establish professional relationships and communicate with a diverse population
- Strong organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to work cooperatively with others
- Experience within Minnesota State Colleges and Universities
- Experience with developing and reporting program outcomes
- On-going professional development in intercultural competence and equity.
- Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and student conduct issues
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed

Salary Range: Annually from $57,002 to $82,560 *Salary placement is dependent on education and experience
