POLICE CHIEF
City of Mountain Home (pop. 14,000) seeks a visionary leader to direct all law enforcement functions. Department has 29 certified, 5 non-certified FTEs and a $3.2 million budget. Position is appointed and reports directly to the Mayor. Bachelor’s Degree and extensive progressively responsible experience in law enforcement are preferred, including several years at senior management level. POST basic certification is required, and intermediate or advanced certification preferred. Candidate must demonstrate strong communication, leadership, organizational and financial management skills, as well as experience with community policing. Starting salary $77,334.36 annually, plus benefits.
