Job Summary
Perform professional project coordination and analysis work to maintain building reports, inventories, and drawings with Archibus, a total infrastructure facilities management (TIFM) system. Under procedural control, apply standard space methods to the collections and analysis of building data by scheduling, collecting, verifying, and analyzing. Compile reports and management inventories from data systems. Develop space programs from information collected from customers. Maintain SharePoint archive of completed projects. Perform related work as required. Responsibilities include:
- Collect building and space data from primary sources, records, reports and on-site building inspection to assist in the compilation of building inventories and reports.
- Analyze data, computer or other output and work with staff to verify accuracy and completeness. Present and explain data in an understandable manner.
- Verify accuracy by cross-referencing data depicted on new drawings with the former drawings.
- Prepare drawings for final publication.
- Present and explain drawings in an understandable manner.
- Produce space management inventory reports to ensure timely and accurate project information and describe techniques and methods utilized to arrive at conclusions.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and schedule presentations of project information.
- Develop space programs and fit plans from information collected from customers through questionnaires, surveys, and interviews and describe techniques and methods utilized to arrive at conclusion.
- Determine alternative solutions to meet space goals.
- Verify space measurement for leased space.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year of professional experience or three (3) years of technical/administrative experience performing project coordination work which includes data gathering and analysis, developing reports, managing space inventory, or closely related experience in the construction field. A Bachelor's degree or higher in construction, design, or architectural drafting (or closely related field) may substitute for one year of experience.
- Knowledge of basic statistical and/or research methods, their applications and limitations sufficient to select and use appropriate procedures to solve problems and to analyze results.
- Ability to quickly learn and use AutoCAD to achieve desired objectives and outcomes.
- Skills in data analysis sufficient to recognize data anomalies, problem and correct or suggest corrective measures.
- Skills in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing sufficient to draft written reports and participate in project meetings to inform other project staff and customers.
- Ability to work independently, yet functions as part of a team sufficient to accomplish project objectives.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to efficiently meet space needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or degree in construction, design, or architectural drafting (or closely related field).
- Knowledge and/or experience in implementing and using computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system such as Archibus.
