FINANCE & BUSINESS DIRECTOR
Mid-Columbia Libraries (MCL) is a public library district serving the people of Benton, Franklin, and Adams Counties. Our 12 community library branches, Bookmobile services, and outreach programs provide friendly service to our diverse and growing community. MCL is seeking a Finance and Business Director to oversee the library budget and direct the accounting, purchasing, payroll, delivery, and facility management functions of the library system. The director will serve as member of the Executive Team and will provide leadership and advice on policy making for the district. Successful candidates will have Bachelor's degree in business/public administration, finance, accounting, or a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in a similar work position, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in public sector finance or accounting. Public sector experience with budgets, taxation, vendor relations, contract negotiations, a working knowledge of governing statutes, and proficiency in accounting software highly desirable.
