Mayor’s Youth Empowerment Program (MYEP) is a non-profit agency in Iowa City that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities. MYEP provides Medicaid funded services that include but are not limited to Residential Based Supported Community Living and Adult Day Habilitation. We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our accounting team.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for conversion of payroll processing from QuickBooks to ADP Workforce Now. Responsible for training employees on new system and processes. Responsible for completing the bi-weekly payroll processing in an accurate, timely manner, according to regulatory requirements and agency policies and procedures. Other duties include accounts payable, HCBS Medicaid billing, general journal entries and recording day-to-day operational transactions. Makes recommendations to Chief Financial Officer for needed changes or improvement opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Preference of a BA/BS in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited college or university. May be substituted with a combination of relevant education and/or experience which totals at least 5 years. At least 3 years of experience with payroll systems and related software programs. Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment. Experience in ADP Workforce Now and implementation of new systems preferred. Experience in HCBS Medicaid billing preferred.
