Minimum Starting Rate: $39,378.71 Annually*
*Initial salary above the minimum of the pay grade is based on verified related education, experience, and training above the minimum requirements.
The person in this position is responsible for coordinating, tracking, collecting, analyzing and reporting data to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of programs in the division. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervises Probation and Pretrial Technicians, Receptionist, and Clerical Support staff. Coordinates the Integration of the Probation, Supervised Pretrial Release and Drug and Alcohol Testing Divisions. Develops staff training manual. Insures uniformity in the application of policies and procedures. Coordinates the implementation of a cross training plan and schedule for all current and new staff. Communicates concerns and possible options to the director regarding practices, processes or procedures within the Office of IDA. Assists in coordinating monthly actions and activities of the Public Safety Coordinating Council, including drafting minutes, and follow up with scheduled guest speakers, presentations and site visits. Monitors and records data for compliance with and produce quarterly reports for compliance with the terms of the Byrne Memorial Grant and JAG Federal Grant. Retrieves, reviews, and formats for analysis, data maintained in the Probation, Supervised Pretrial Release and Drug and Alcohol Testing programs. Prepares and presents reports and other correspondence to support and document research, tasks, or projects as assigned. Serves as backup to Sr. Probation and Pretrial Officers, reviewing legal documents and attending various court hearings.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or a related field and two years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
