Assist with the planning and implementation of fundraising solicitations for Kent State Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. Discover, cultivate, solicit and steward prospects in an assigned portfolio for mid-level gifts, focusing on prospects that give $25,000 or less annually. Reports to designated supervisor.

This position will have a portfolio of prospects with interests across the university and/or specific to a college or campus.

Plan, coordinate, and implement fundraising activities designed to increase and secure donor response, including personal visits and telephone calls, email, KSU Engagement Center coordination, gift agreements and donor recognition efforts.

Manage a dynamic portfolio of mid-level prospects with interests across the university.

Aid in the development of a solicitation strategy to increase donors and revenue generated from specific constituencies.

Cultivate and solicit identified mid-level/leadership annual giving prospects for charitable gifts. Assist in enhancing and broadening prospect’s relationship with the university through additional engagement opportunities.

Collaborate with communications, annual giving and philanthropic advisors to ensure consistency of fundraising message and to enhance the impact of the overall university campaign.

Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with Portfolio Development to align prospects with their level and area of passion.

Monitor solicitation results to determine progress towards annual goals; provide regular reports as requested.

Maintain data integrity of prospect records, including entering and updating contact entries, next steps, and strategic donor plans and proposals according to established protocols.

May work with volunteers, including but not limited to alumni, faculty, staff or students, to enhance engagement of constituents through peer contact.

Participate in strategic events, projects and activities as they relate to the engagement of prospects.

Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least one year of fundraising and/or sales experience. Ability to work a flexible work schedule which may include some evenings and weekends as requested.
