Johnson Foods in Sunnyside, Washington is looking for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic.
The successful applicant will be comfortable in a food processing environment and will have skills involving conveyors, motors, pumps, and electrical. Knowledge of fabrication and refrigeration is a plus. Familiarity with food safety audits, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, and preventative maintenance programs is a plus. He or she will be part of a team of 2-3 mechanics and will be expected to demonstrate good working habits and teamwork. We process fresh, frozen, and pickled asparagus as well as frozen cherries and various other vegetables.
Our busy time is April through August when we will run 5-6 days per week and the expected hours are 50-70 hours per week. Other times of the year it's mostly five days a week, 8 hours a day. Wage is competitive and based on previous experience and training. Compensation and benefits will be negotiated upon a job offer.
