CAD Designer/Draftsman
CAD Designer/Draftsman – Submissions will be accepted until July 22, 2021
Harms Engineering has an opening for a full-time CAD Designer/Drafter. The successful candidate must have a minimum Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or minimum of 2 years relevant experience, be certified in AutoCAD. The successful candidate will be working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create and modify design and construction drawings for civil site plans, subdivision infrastructure, and structures in support of registered civil and structural engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare civil construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with company and industry standards
- Prepare record drawings
- Provide drafting support for structural engineering
- Interact with utilities, municipalities, clients, and design team
- Conduct field visits
- Provide drafting support to engineers as needed
- Identify project specific design requirements using applicable codes
- Search for and compile design and reference information from various sources
The applicants' resume should clearly demonstrate specific experience and level of responsibility in one or more of the areas listed above, include a list of and experience level with computer programs, and provide at least two professional references with contact information.
Successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to produce designs; respond to instructions; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; ability to meet budgets and schedules; and willingness to learn and share information.
