Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) is the Department of Energy’s (DOE) prime support contractor for the Hanford site. HMIS seeks an attorney interested in living and working in SE Washington to fill an immediate opening. Interested candidates must possess a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, an active law license issued by the highest court of a state or the District of Columbia, and 2-4 years of legal experience. Ideal candidates will have experience in areas related to government contracts such as procurement law, environmental law, and labor law.

Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Government procurement law including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and FAR Supplements.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in at least two of the other disciplines described above (i.e. Industrial/Occupational Safety, environmental, IT/Cyber, Insurance, Employment, Labor Relations, Property and/or Utilities/Energy law)
- Experience with the interpretive and rule making processes, as well as theories, principles, and policies applicable to the work of Government procurement.
- Experience working in a collaborative environment.
- Able to quickly adapt to new environments.
- Willing to share opinions while also displaying intellectual curiosity the opinions of others.
- Able to provide examples of high quality results or work product.
- Employ logic and reason to understand complex situations, to develop foresight that anticipates impending opportunities and obstacles, and to employ analytical approaches to solve problems.
