 ** HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL**

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. A current Washington State Secondary Principal's credentials.
2. A Master's degree.
3. Experience teaching students in grades 9-12 preferred.

1. Previous experience in education administration and instructional leadership preferred.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
3. Ability to establish and maintain high standards of classroom behavior and a positive learning environment.
4. Demonstrated ability to participate in district-wide improvement efforts and initiatives.
5. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to student welfare, safety, and discipline.

JOB GOAL:  The Assistant Principal will work closely with the Principal to foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture, improve communication with families, and increase graduation rates. They will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to achieve these goals, while also ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of the school, including educational, administrative, and operational functions. This includes instructional leadership, curriculum development, staff supervision, student discipline, and community relations.
