The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an Assistant Director, Events and Game Operations. The successful candidate will be part of the team that organizes, plans, implements, produces and manages internal and external events (to include events associated with intercollegiate athletics and/or special events associated with A-10, MAC, EIVA, or NCAA). Additional duties include responsibilities in the areas of staffing, budgeting, facility coordination, technology, and promotions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Relevant event management and/or game operations experience;
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary; and
- Ability to work in varying climates including cold, heat, and various forms of precipitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree;
- One to three years of applicable experience in event management in collegiate athletics;
- Working knowledge of related NCAA rules;
- Experience supervising employees/interns/student workers;
- Experience with onboarding and payroll systems;
- Experience with guest services training; and
- Experience working with a diverse group of people.
