Maintenance Mechanic

$23.67-$29.63/hour

3-4 work days a week

12 hr shifts- with 4 week rotation of days and nights

Up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus depending on experience

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical function of the plant and plant equipment when the facility is in operation. He/She responds to equipment problems with a focus on bringing the plant back to operational status as quickly and safely as possible. The Maintenance Mechanic works closely with the Maintenance Manager to find solutions to plant breakdowns and should keep his/her manager informed of all issues related to the job function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Positive, team oriented attitude.
• Preventative maintenance and work orders per CMMS program
• A willingness to do whatever the company requires when maintenance is slow, but not limited to:
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with special projects
  • Check all equipment in the plant and in maintenance areas
  • Keep the shop and all major equipment areas neat and safe.
  • Work closely with production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines, such as pumps, treat tanks, conveyors, etc.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals as needed.
• Ability to detect faulty operation/defective products.
