Fine Arts Production Specialist – 533623

Job Summary:

Assists the Costume Shop Supervisor in managing the day-to-day operations of the costume shop. This role primarily handles the construction of costumes and maintenance of inventory. It involves assisting with the supervision of costume construction, fittings, alterations, and maintenance, ensuring that all costumes meet the design specifications and are completed on time.

  • Assists in the sewing, pattern making, alterations, and finishing of costumes for productions and/or rentals, according to the Costume Designer's design intentions.
  • Assists in managing and organizing costume shop inventory, including materials, tools, and supplies, and alerting about stock needs.
  • Assists the Costume Shop Supervisor in overseeing the construction, fitting, alteration, and repair of costumes for all productions. Provides guidance and support to student workers as needed, ensuring tasks are completed according to schedule and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and six years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Theatre and or costume design.
