Fiscal Analyst 1Full Time PermanentCoyote Ridge Corrections Center (CRCC)NOTE: This recruitment may be used to fill future openings.***A copy of your unofficial transcripts, or proof of registration for class(es) in accounting, auditing, or budgeting must be attached to your application*** The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Fiscal Analyst 1 at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. COYOTE RIDGE CORRECTIONS CENTER (CRCC) is located on a 60-acre site about 40 miles north of the Tri Cities. CRCC is comprised of two-complexes. The Main Security Complex (MSC) is a 2,048 bed facility that houses offenders with Medium and MI3 Custody. MSC consists of 4 Hybrid units and 4 Medium units. The Minimum Security Unit (MSU) is a 600 bed facility that houses assisted living and MI2 Custody offenders. MSU consists of 2 units. This is a work/program orientated facility that offers many educational, vocational, and self-help programs and Class II and Class III Correctional Industries work programs. DUTIES:The Fiscal Analyst 1 prepares reoccurring fiscal reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including statements of fund balance, income statements, or balance sheets. He/She maintains ledger accounts and analyzes fiscal data. Key responsibilities include: Prepare monthly fiscal statements and reports in accordance with GAAP Accurately and efficiently process deposit and withdrawal activity for locally held accounts Prepare and process accounting entries Prepares local fund bank reconciliations Complete general accounting (institution specific) tasks QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and one year accounting experience as a Fiscal Technician 2 or equivalent.AND Three (3) semester or four (4) quarter hours in accounting, auditing or budgeting from an accredited institution whose accreditation is recognized by the US Department of Education or the Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or a foreign equivalent. Experience may not substitute for education credits. or Must be registered at the time of application for class(es) in accounting, auditing or budgeting from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or foreign equivalent that qualifies you to apply for the position and successfully completed within 6 months of employment.Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing or budgeting.Please attach a copy of your educational transcripts or proof of registration.
