Mission Statement

Job Goal:
To administer the business affairs of the district in such a way as to provide the best possible education services with the financial resources available.

Duties/Responsibilities
 Assume responsibility, along with the Superintendent, for budget development procedures and financial
planning data.
 Prepare and operate a program of accounting and reporting the financial affairs of the District.
 Supervise a program of budget control.
 Administer the District’s payroll and benefits programs.
 Prepare the financial reports as required by the Board, State and Federal agencies.
 Advise the Board and Superintendent on questions relating to the District’s business affairs.

 Prepare financial reports, forecasts and recommendations covering all aspects school finance.
 Be responsible for generating monthly budget reports for the Board of Directors and District Administrators.
 Prepare State and Federal Grant reports pertaining to fiscal operations of the District.
 Prepare and submit the S-275 personnel report.
 Be responsible for reconciliation of school district funds with the county treasurer, for the investment of the
school district funds, and for coordinating resolution for audit issues.
 Be responsible for establishing policies and procedures pertaining to fiscal matters and monitoring
compliance and providing training and support to District personnel related to these areas (ASB, cash handling,
enrollment reporting, independent contracting, etc.).
 Attend meetings of the Board of Directors.
 Attend Budget Committee meetings, Fiscal Officers’ meetings, and other meetings as needed.
 Perform other such duties and assume other responsibilities as the Superintendent may assign.
