Courthouse News Service (www.courthousenews.com) is seeking a courthouse reporter to cover civil state court filings in Kennewick and two other nearby court locations. The job will include reporting on new civil filings in Kennewick twice a week and in Walla Walla and Ephrata once every other week each. This part-time job should take approximately 10 to 15 hours per week. We pay $25 per hour and reimburse for trips outside Benton County. Opportunities for more work and advancement are possible but not guaranteed.  Journalism experience is not required. Neither is experience in the legal field. We will train qualified candidates. The ideal candidate possesses writing skills and the desire and hunger to put them to use in a fast-paced, professional setting.
