Jail Diversion Peer Support Specialist

Community Counseling Solutions has a peer position for those who love to share their story to construct a positive and purposeful outcome for peers. CCS is currently recruiting a part-time (20hr/week) Jail Diversion Peer Support Specialist based in Boardman, OR to provide guidance and encouragement to individuals working through their recovery process while drawing on common experience as a peer. Our peers embody having lived experience and being able to relate with customers.
This position is coached by the Peer Support Supervisor who will help lead the Peer into success with customers. The Jail Diversion Peer gets the opportunity to use life skills in order relate, converse, mentor, and be a part of the journey for individuals in the County Jail system, on probation, or at high risk.
Qualified applicant must have the following qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, Experience as a peer, a valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, Personal auto coverage of $300,000 in bodily injury and $100,000 in property damage, and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Hourly wage range for this part time position is $15.67 - $21.92 /hour, DOE. Position open until filled, EOE.
