Distribution Designer; Network Customer Service
Distribution Designer Columbia Rural Electric Association is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Distribution Designer located at the Cooperative's Walla Walla Office. Responsibilities include meeting customers, overhead and underground distribution line design for residential, commercial, and irrigation services, estimating materials and costs of projects, the preparation of work orders and assist with contractor oversight. Minimum qualifications include a two-year technical degree in engineering with a strong emphasis in electrical theory and computer applications, related equivalent job experience may be considered in lieu of education. Utilities experience preferred. Must be proficient with AutoCad, and MS Office Suite. Should also be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, and possess a valid drivers license. Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal communications and time management skills.
Network Customer Service Columbia Rural Electric's subsidiary Columbia iConnect is hiring for the position of Technical Support Specialist/Network Customer Support at the Walla Walla office. This position assists customers, provides service information, closes and sets up new accounts and maintains records for all customers. The Network Customer Service position monitors the backbone infrastructure and is responsible for coordinating and dispatching field staff. Columbia iConnect is seeking a self-directed and motivated individual with a positive work/life outlook to contribute to our cooperative team. In addition, the successful applicant will demonstrate a professional attitude, strong oral and written communication skills, pleasant and calm personality, and computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Must have the ability to communicate with members/customers in person and on the telephone, practice organizational skills, analyze and resolve problems. One to three years of front line customer service experience with an emphasis on technical support responsibilities. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
