Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist
Columbia County Public Works is seeking a Senior Geographic Information System (GIS)
Specialist. This position is responsible for maintaining Public Works related GIS data
pertaining to pavement management, road inventory, and addressing; Maintaining the
Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) mapping system; Working with Public Works staff
and other County departments to establish and maintain the GIS system primarily using
ESRI software; Responding to GIS-related inquiries from internal and external customers
including Emergency Management, 911, Assessor’s Office, Auditor’s Office, and Planning
and Building; Performing miscellaneous work in engineering and GIS-related analysis,
cartography, and data collection.
Wages range from $31.56 to $38.37 per hour ($65,654 to $79,803 per year) DOQ. The
county offers a generous benefit package which includes paid vacation and sick leave, 11
paid holidays plus two floating holidays per year, $950 per month stipend for Medical,
Vision and Dental insurance, Washington Public Employees Retirement Systems (PERS),
