Columbia County Public Works is seeking a Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist and/or Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist. These position are responsible for maintaining Public Works related GIS data pertaining to pavement management, road inventory, and addressing; Maintain the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) mapping system; Work with Public Works staff and other County departments to establish and maintain the GIS system using primarily ESRI software; Responds to GIS related inquiries from internal and external customers including Emergency Management, 911, Assessor's Office, Auditor's Office, Planning and Building; Performs miscellaneous work in engineering and GIS related analysis, cartography, and data collection. Wages range from $19.35 to $25.87 DOQ for a GIS Specialist and from $20.08 to $28.20 DOQ for a Senior GIS Specialist. The county offers a generous benefit package which includes Paid, vacation and sick leave, 11 paid holidays plus two floating holidays per year, $850 per month stipend for Medical, Vision and Dental insurance, Washington Public Employees Retirement Systems (PERS), and an HRA VEBA Account.
