Sanitation Operator

Drive and operate sanitation rapid rail, roll-off, rear-end loader trucks and open-bed trucks to
perform automated and manual labor in loading, hauling, and dumping refuse and recycling.

NATURE OF POSITION Drive and operate sanitation rapid rail, roll-off, rear-end loader trucks and open-bed trucks to perform automated and manual labor in loading, hauling, and dumping refuse and recycling.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school or completion of GED; sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Valid State Commercial Driver's License Class B. Ability to obtain Hazardous Materials Transportation certification within one year of appointment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bilingual in Spanish.

Special application requirements include: • 3-year driver’s abstract available from the Department of Motor Licensing is required to apply. • The successful incumbent with a valid CDL must pass a pre-employment drug test and will participate in random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
