Public Works Division Manager
Seeking individuals with water or wastewater treatment plant experience, or a strong background in a construction or engineering environment.
Duties: Under the guidance & direction of the Superintendent; responsible for supervision of the operation, maintenance, planning, documenting, organization & coordination of assigned Public Works Divisions (assignment may include managerial functions that wholly or partially support day-to-day or future planning support for water, wastewater, stormwater, irrigation & equipment, or other managerial functions that support Public Works - Operations). Coach, mentor, lead & develop subordinate staff. Develop goals & objectives for assigned divisions. Prepare, propose, manage & administer assigned operating revenue & expense budgets based on staffing & resource requirements & limitations, cost estimates, objectives & goals. Review & analyze existing practices & procedures to recommend improvements & changes.
Requirements: Broad level of knowledge & experience in Public Works related operations. Four years of experience at a supervisory/manager level. Strong interpersonal & customer service skills. High level of knowledge &/or experience with budget processes or project management. College level courses or certifications applicable to assignment (e.g., Water/Wastewater Certifications, Construction/Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, etc.). Valid WA Driver's License.
Salary: Maximum Monthly Salary: $7,803 depends on qualifications, plus benefits. (Benefit package includes possibility of annual merit award.).
