Administrative & Community Services Director Full-time / Exempt
Directs, manages, & reviews the activities of the Administrative & Community Services Department. Responsible for the development, recommendation & implementation of policies, programs, & procedures, that accomplish the goals & objectives of the department. Plans, organizes, evaluates, & directs the City Clerk & administrative services, facilities maintenance, information systems, & recreation divisions. This includes contract administration, legal services, grounds & building maintenance, records management & technology integration operations. Prepares department annual operating budget. Assures fiscal responsibility & cost consciousness. Provides technical expertise, information & assistance to the City Manager regarding assigned functions. Oversees the preparation of reports & correspondence relating to departmental activities, direction & accomplishments Oversees the preparation of long range plans including the Comprehensive Park Plan & other plans as required. Responds to the most sensitive or complex inquires of service complaints. Responds to citizen questions & concerns & determines appropriate resolution to maintain positive customer relations. Duties may require attendance at in town & out of town meetings.
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Business Administration. Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in Administration. Five (5) years of previous experience in a supervisory position. Valid Washington State driver license.
Maximum Monthly Salary: $11,258 DOQ, plus benefits. (Benefit package includes possibility of annual merit award.).
