Public Works Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Public Works Supervisor assigns, schedules, organizes, and coordinates the routine operations and implementation of Public Works activities such as: streets, water, sewer, parks, building maintenance and various other related work. This position reports to the Public Works Director and leads the work of Public Works maintenance staff, external contractors, volunteers and/or inmate work crew. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Five (5) years' experience or equivalent that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities to perform the duties. High School or GED Certification, valid driver's license with a class A CDL endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Certifications that must be obtained within 2 years include: Water Distribution Manager 1, Cross Connection Control Specialist and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator 1. A DOT drug/alcohol screening is required.
