JOB SUMMARY
Participates as a member of a hospital-based team of physicians that provide specialized hospital inpatient attending services at FHS Facilities. This includes meeting or exceeding FHS standards for productivity, quality of patient care and risk management. The hospital physician plays a key role on the hospital team in contributing to the design and delivery of high quality, cost effective, rules-based patient care for patients.

- Understand, support and implement the mission of FHS and the Catholic Health Initiatives to deliver health care to those in need in the performance of all job responsibilities.
- Ensure that the patient care meets or exceeds FHS quality standards.
- Ensure that patient satisfaction meets or exceeds FHS quality standards.
- Educate patients on managed care and effective utilization of hospital resources.
- Participates in FHS and hospital committees as requested and appropriate.
- Meets standards of performance and production.
- Effectively uses Inpatient Team financial and performance information.
- Attends and actively participates in Inpatient Team and FHS meetings.
- Understands the concepts of appropriate coding and billing for professional services rendered.
- Patient: Physician ratios will be considered within optimal performance standards if under 20-21 for primary attending physician responsibilities.
Performs related duties as required.

Education/Work Experience Requirements
Board certified or eligible. Internal Medicine or Family Practice with special interest in Internal Medicine specialty.

Specialized Hospital Privileged or Procedure Capable:
- Placement of indwelling central venous access.
- Placement of peripheral arterial line access
- Placement and monitoring of central hemodynamic monitoring catheters (Swan Ganz)
- Cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Placement of Tranvenous Cardiac Pacemakers
- Cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- Lumbar Puncture
- Thoracentesis
- Bone Marrow Aspiration and Biopsy
- Management and principles of Mechanical Ventilation
- Placement of Tranvenous Cardiac Pacemakers
Licensure/Certification
Licensure in the State of Washington.
BLS and ACLS certification.
