Technical Project Manager Sr. - Mobility
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Technical Project Manager applies specialist technical knowledge and project management expertise to lead IT initiatives from concept, design, and through delivery, within scope, quality, and resource constraints. Job functions include:
- Project Management: Develop and administers schedules, dependencies, critical paths, and milestones, and actively manages project timelines and goals for complex projects.
- Communications: Communicate project objectives, expectations, schedule, scope, budget, status, and other important project aspects to management as well as project team members and stakeholders. Facilitate the development and management of change management plans.
- Vendor/Consultant/Contract Management: Responsible for project communications and activities with various vendors and consultants. Responsible for development, preparation, negotiation, and administration of project contracts and specifications. Manage, negotiate, and administer vendor and consultant contracts.
- Business Case Development: Develop and administer project goals and objectives aligned with District business and technology goals and strategies and in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise to stakeholders and management, including technical alternative cost-benefit analysis.
- Mentoring & Training: Mentor and train senior personnel on technical project management.

Post-Secondary Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S., B.A. from a college or university) in IT, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, or Management Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Management certification preferred.
Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of six (6) years’ experience managing technical projects, or closely related experience in a technical or functional lead role such as IT Business Analyst, or Operations Manager. Candidates with direct experience implementing information or operational technology projects similar to the projects managed by the position are strongly preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
In addition to a competitive salary range of $96,480 - $120,600 (based on qualifications, skills and abilities), Chelan PUD employees also enjoy outstanding benefits which include the option of a zero cost medical plan (medical, dental and vision for all eligible dependents), short and long-term disability, Washington State Public Employee's Retirement System, Deferred Compensation (with company matching funds up to 5%), 11 holidays and initial personal leave accrual at 21 days per year.
