FOOD SERVICE MANAGER
Position directs and assists in food preparation for daily food service operations in the District. Duties include: daily food production and distribution; monitoring menus; maintaining inventories of food and supplies; determining work schedules; recruiting, training and evaluating staff; maintaining records to comply with applicable state and federal regulations and laws.
Requirements include: A.A. degree or B.A. (preferred) in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, FCS, or culinary arts plus two years of school nutrition experience; knowledge of large quantity food preparation principles and practices; knowledge of safety and health regulations, ServSafe certified, mathematical competence, ability to use personal computer including spreadsheets; supervisory experience in institutional food service setting.
