Maintenance Worker
This position is responsible to perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on buildings and playgrounds on a regular scheduled basis. Maintain safe conditions in all facilities and/or work spaces housing Head Start, Early Head Start, and ECEAP children and staff.
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED), three years of general building maintenance experience including light plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical skills; or substituting any equivalent combination of related experience and demonstrated knowledge of general building maintenance and relevant training from a vocational training organization; physical strength and agility required by the position.
Working knowledge of Occupational Hazards and safety precautions.
The ability to use or operate any tools, power or manual, and equipment such as, wrenches, screwdrivers, various saws, plumbing equipment; electrical components; motor vehicle.
